Help us plant our
millionth tree
Scots pines in Glen Affric

These Scots pines, some of the first we planted (in Glen Affric in 1991), have transformed the landscape there.

Binnilidh Bheag

During the year, we’ll be protecting seedlings in areas like this on the slopes of Binnilidh Bheag at Dundreggan, so that this remnant birchwood can regenerate naturally.

Volunteers lining out alder seedlings

Volunteers lining out alder seedlings as part of our tree nursery work. In 2012 we’ll take local volunteers out on day projects, as well as those on our week-long programmes.

Appeals for Funds
Please help us plant our millionth tree in 2012!

2012 will bring a number of exciting new opportunities for us, and will include the planting of the one millionth tree since our project began. Please make a donation now, to help make 2012 the most successful year yet for Trees for Life!

Dear Supporter,

As we start another year, there is a lot of excitement here at Trees for Life, as it has the potential in many ways to be our most successful year yet. I’m very grateful to you, and to all our supporters, for the tremendous backing you’ve given us in 2011. Now, looking ahead to 2012, we are planning a number of exciting new initiatives, including the planting of the millionth tree since our project began, and I’m writing today to invite your support in raising £16,000 to help us achieve our goals for the year.

We need your help to make the most of the opportunities 2012 is bringing!

Like many charities, we’ve seen some of our regular funding, from grant-giving trusts and companies, reduced in the past year, because of the current difficult economic situation. We’ve responded by cutting costs where we can, and by looking for new, or renewed, sources of funds. We’ve had some success with that, but to make the most of the opportunities that lie ahead for us in 2012, we still need to find another £16,000, and that’s why I’m writing to you today. As one of our valued supporters, who’s been touched by the inspiration of our project, you can play a key role in helping to make 2012 our best year yet by sending a donation today!

Thanks a million! – it’s very easy to help us get off to a great start in 2012!

….so please help us achieve that milestone by making a donation now.

I’m very grateful for all your support for our project, and would like to say literally ‘thanks a million’ to you (on behalf of the millionth tree!) for any contribution that you can make at this time.

Yours sincerely,
