The Memorial Grove for...

Nick Dunford

1964 – 2007

Nick

As Nick used to say “you can never have too many trees” this seemed the most appropriate way to remember him and to give something back to the world that he would have appreciated and thought worth while. He had a child like appreciation of nature and loved being outdoors, embracing fully the expressions “there is no such thing as unsuitable weather, just unsuitable clothing” and “skin is after all water proof”.

There is not a day goes by that I don’t miss you Nick and look at the natural beauty of the world and think of you. You were so very special.

You will always be in my heart.
Love Clare

This is an entirely fitting tribute to a fine young man who is sorely missed. Dave Cheryl Patrick and Ed

To Nick,
So many happy memories of you, Clare and Beans - mugs of tea, Bach and the river - the world is a little less bright every day without your life. You are missed and never forgotten by those who love you.
Jess

In fond memory of Nick, a dear friend whom we knew for a short time but who has left a lasting impression on our lives.
Still miss you mate.
Irene & Graham.

I hope many dogs come to visit the grove....with love, Carolyn

What a great way to remember Nick, "For in the true nature of things, if we rightly consider, every green tree is far more glorious than if it were made of gold and silver."
Antony & Karen

The last walk Nick and I took in the hills went through a section of ancient forest. It was a great day with a great friend and brother. So this is a wonderful way of keeping your memory alive. We think of you always and miss you.
Steve,Pat,Mike, Chris and Emily.

It’s just a tree?
A man that had such character, honesty and integrity,
A man with personality to behold.
A man that always knew what to say,
A man with a heart made of gold.
A man that was such an inspiration,
A man with values to uphold.
..and a tree would make you delighted.
Miss you Nick

A true gentleman. It was an honour and a privilege to have known Nick.
Gareth and Lyn

There is no better way to remember Nick than by planting trees in memory of his love of the great outdoors.
Judy and Jim

He was my brother and my best friend and I miss him terribly. We had great times together.
Ger

For Nick, who loved trees and who we all miss.
Dave, Helen, Sam and Abi
