Questions and Answers
Dedicated trees and groves of trees planted by Trees for Life to restore the Caledonian Forest in the Scottish Highlands
Below you can see the most frequently asked questions about tree dedications and groves of trees to celebrate a birth, wedding, or other occasion, or in memory of a loved one.
- Can I visit my tree/grove?
Yes. Here please see maps of the planting sites Dundreggan and Corrimony. Anyone visiting the sites must have a map and ensure they have suitable footwear, clothing and provisions. Please definitely consider the recommendations given for each site and plan your visit carefully. Neither Trees for Life nor RSPB accept responsibility for your visit. - Can I scatter ashes/hold a service on Dundreggan?
Yes. Please note the access information given for Dundreggan. We would recommend the riparian area (near River Moriston) as the most suitable site due to ease of access and the spectacular setting. - Can I send my ashes to be scattered on my grove site?
No. We do not have the resources to handle this type of request. Your friend/relative would be welcome as outlined above. - Can I come and plant my dedicated tree?
No. It is not possible to facilitate individuals planting their own trees, but you would be more than welcome to join one of our Conservation Holidays, which often include tree planting amongst other conservation activities. - Will a member of the TFL team meet me/accompany me on my visit to Dundreggan?
No. At this time we do not have the resources to be able to meet individual visitors, or provide guides to the estate. We are developing new car parking and waymarked paths with interpretation in some areas.
