Planted Groves and dedicated trees
Groves of trees planted by Trees for Life in the Scottish Highlands to celebrate a birth,
wedding or other occasion, or in memory of a loved one.
If you have commissioned a tree to be planted, or participated in a grove, you will find the details of the
planting site here.
Autumn 2007 and Spring 2008: RSPB Corrimony
Groves and dedicated trees were planted on the RSPB Reserve at Corrimony, where the species planted were rowan and
birch.
If you are planning on visiting the area where your tree is planted please contact the office beforehand and we will pass your details onto the RSPB warden at Corrimony, who will then contact you directly regarding your visit to the Reserve. You should be aware the site is situated in a remote location, which will require hillwalking over rough terrain in all weather conditions. Please note that the dead trees on the site are the result of a fire about 10 years ago, which destroyed a young plantation of non native trees.

Planting at Corrimony
|
Trees and groves commissioned before August 2006 have been planted this autumn (2006) at the RSPB reserve
in Corrimony.
A selection of aspen, hazel and

Grid Ref. NH344 28 B27150 Map Landranger 26 or Explorer 415
See it on Google Maps
Although the trees are unmarked, the dedications were read as the tree was planted and the coordinates refer to the group of trees in which your tree was
planted. Please note that these trees are in a fairly remote location.
Directions to Corrimony: Take the road from Inverness to Drumnadrochit. At the cross roads in Drum,
follow the signs for Cannich. Corrimony is about 20/25 minutes outside Drum. Corrimony is the RSPB reserve
in Glen Urquhart. The road is on the left and is clearly signposted.
For more details about the RSPB Reserve at Corrimony click here.
Autumn 2005: RSPB Corrimony
A grove of 186 Alder trees was planted at the RSPB's
Corrimony reserve in autumn 2005,
to celebrate Tim Reid and Lara Hilditch's wedding.
The grove is located at NH352269, OS Landranger Map 26.
June 2005: Glen Affric
A hundred and twenty-three Aspens were planted in Glen Affric in June 2005
to celebrate Sam Barbour and Sandy Pringle's wedding.
These were young trees from Trees for Life's own tree nursery at Plodda Lodge, grown from root cuttings taken from Glen Affric.
