The Grove for:

Merry Christmas!

From Friends in Brasil

This Christmas, 2008, you have planted 60 trees with the Trees for Life project. The trees are part of the restoration of the ancient Caledonian Pine Forest in Glen Affric, Scotland. The trees will help to restore the Earth and repair some of the damage inflicted by human actions.

"If you are poet you will see clearly that there is a cloud floating in this sheet of paper.Without the cloud, there will be no rain, without rain the trees cannot grow; and without trees we cannot make paper. The cloud is essential for the paper to exist. If the cloud is not here the sheet of paper cannot be here either."

Thich Nhat Hanh
Vietnamese Buddhist monk, poet and peace activist
