Headteacher Springfield School
Ian Cordingley.
5th September 1950-2nd April 2010
Ian was a well respected headteacher at Springfield Special School for 16 years. His aspirations for the children and young people in his care removed the boundaries of disability. When he moved into a consultancy role in 2006 he took up the challenge of promoting equality of educational opportunities for all irrespective of ability or disability. He will be sorely missed.
From the staff and pupils of Springfield School.
