Abstract
Scotland has been described as one of the last remaining areas of wilderness in Europe. It is the least populated part of the United Kingdom and also the most forested, although only one percent of original forest remains. It is considered by many to be one of the best opportunities for rewilding. Rewilding is a term used to describe large-scale conservation and restoration. It includes not only the restoration and regeneration of forest, but also the species that once lived there.
Rewilding Scotland explores the concept of rewilding and the arguments surrounding its application in Scotland, including the potential impact on both animals and humans. There is no clear-cut for and against argument with rewilding, and this film explores as many different perspectives as possible."
