This list has been produced from the results of a study carried out by Michael Usher of the Department of Environmental Science at the University of Stirling, and Jonathan Humphrey of the Forestry Commission's Northern Research Station. Additional species have been added from the work of Mike Davidson, and a few minor additions have been made by Trees for Life staff.
